Speaking Topic: Waves of Change
Gloria has had many varied and interesting 'occupations' during her lifetime. She has learned from each experience and incorporates her knowledge, humor and biblical references into each topic.
She will inform, entertain and relate to her audience. Some topics are best suited for mothers, some for grandparents, some for senior groups, some for a farm audience or a children's ministry workshop.
Topics offered and a brief description of each:
Children's Ministry: Finding and Keeping Volunteers
As a Dir. of Chidren's Ministry for 10 years, Gloria can relate to the difficulty of finding volunteers. The topic will address ways to find and keep the best, regardless of the size of the church and the children's program.
17 Occupations and 34 Years Later....
A humorous and truthful look at the many detours taken before realizing God's calling on Gloria’s life, and a discussion of your calling.
Reminisce With Me
A visual and oral remembering of the many ways our parents influenced our lives. This is geared toward a Senior's Group with time for audience participation and recollections.

A presentation for a senior group; for aging is a journey of change. The changes we experience range from small, inconsequential, but occasionally annoying changes, to the ones that threaten to drown us. The changes are likened to varying sizes of waves.

A visual and often times humorous look at the years Gloria spent being self-sufficient. There are many blessings and catastrophes that come with that lifestyle.

This is a pre-Christmas presentation geared toward a women's group.

Gloria presents many examples of what most people consider the 'perfect Christmas' when in reality, it eludes us. It is a religious themed presentation.
When You Become the Parent to Your Parent
This topic addresses the complexities of switching roles as your parent(s) age. While it can be a depressing and very challenging time, there is some humor involved also.
Raising Your Teenage Grandchildren / Subtitled HELP
Millions of people are raising their grandchildren, including Gloria. This will help people realize they are not alone in their struggles.
Getting It Right……Only Occasionally
Trials and triumphs experienced on the journey Gloria and her autistic adult child live every day. She relates many humorous anecdotes with which parents of special-needs individuals can identify and will discuss her published book, Not Different Enough.
Wabi Sabi: Accepting Imperfection
Wabi Sabi is a Japanese term describing the beauty that can be found in imperfection. This topic addresses our insatiable need for perfection in all areas of our lives, how to address it and instead, embrace life’s imperfections.
